The 26th China Hospital Construction Conference & International Hospital Build and Infrastrucuture Exposition(CHCC), a global leader in hospital construction, has been a key industry event for over two decades. CHCC 2025 aims to further elevate hospital construction by uniting high-quality resources to create an open, collaborative platform for industry development. With a focus on advancing high-quality growth in hospital construction, the conference stands as a symbol of innovation in the sector.
Amid China's Dual Carbon targets and the Healthy China strategy, CHCC 2025 will feature the China-Netherlands Near-Zero Carbon Hospital Development Forum, a collaboration between the Shenzhen Hospital Management Association’s Green and Low-Carbon Hospital Construction Promotion Committee, the Dutch Embassy in China, and CHCC 2025. This forum will highlight sustainable hospital development in the context of climate change, combining international perspectives with China's evolving healthcare practices to foster innovative solutions for building zero-carbon hospitals.
Key Organizers and Their Roles
Shenzhen Hospital Management Association's Green and Low-Carbon Hospital Construction Promotion Committee
Formed in May 2023, the Shenzhen Hospital Management Association's Green and Low-Carbon Hospital Construction Promotion Committee works to integrate resources from the green and low-carbon construction sector. Led by Wu Cheng, the committee’s mission is to drive forward-thinking, collaborative, and sustainable hospital development practices. Its focus on green transformation aligns with China's Dual Carbon goals and promotes the creation of low-carbon hospitals.
Since its inception, the committee has played a critical role in advocating for sustainable construction practices, emphasizing energy-efficient designs, green materials, and low-carbon operations in hospital environments.
The Dutch Embassy in China – Health, Welfare, and Sports Department
The Dutch Embassy in China, particularly the Health, Welfare, and Sports Department, has been instrumental in fostering bilateral cooperation in healthcare and sustainability. In June 2024, a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Health Commission of China and the Dutch Ministry of Health, paving the way for collaboration on green hospitals, sustainable medical equipment, and healthcare training. The China-Netherlands Green Hospital Project is a cornerstone of this partnership, focusing on green technologies like low-carbon anesthesia and sustainable ICU practices.
